Beaufort Cheese – A French Alpine Delight

Origin:
Beaufort hails from the picturesque Savoie region in the French Alps, where it has been crafted traditionally from high-quality cow's milk for centuries. This prestigious cheese bears the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) designation, a mark of authenticity that guarantees its origin and production methods. Named after the Beaufort Valley in Savoie, this cheese reflects the stunning landscapes and rich history of the region.

Taste & Texture:
Beaufort is celebrated for its smooth, creamy texture and complex flavour profile, which combines nutty, fruity, and subtly sweet notes. The flavour evolves with the seasons, influenced by the cows' diet, making each wheel of Beaufort a unique taste experience. Aged for at least four months, the cheese develops a firm, semi-hard texture and is characterised by its natural rind.

Perfect Pairing:
With its melt-in-the-mouth quality, Beaufort is ideal for fondue and other traditional Alpine dishes. It's also perfect on cheese boards, paired with a crisp white wine or a full-bodied red.

Ideal for:

  • Cheese boards
  • Traditional Alpine dishes like fondue and gratins
  • Pairing with wine or charcuterie
